Fancy Vans was founded in 1974 after founder Barbara McVeigh, experienced difficulties when she tried to get a van modified for her husband's disabilities. She was not familar with what adaptive equipment he needed and struggled to find any assistance. But she knew how much driving would mean to her husband's independence, so she didn't give up. Therefore, her interest in the mobility field was inspired by her own experiences.
Fancy Vans' head technician, Steve Clontz, has been with the company for over 30 years. He has been through factory training on installing and servicing on all types of mobility products.
